BE A HERO!
This Tuesday, August 25 there is a city-wide event that encourages area residents to have a meaningful impact on our community by contributing to area non-profits. We are proud to be a part of that effort. All gifts received at Helping Hands (or any of the other participating non-profits) on that day between 12 a.m. and 11:59 pm will count toward that effort. And we have been blessed in that an anonymous donor will match any grant we receive up to a certain point – so the potential is there not only to maximize on the amount but also to help us meet our second $100,000 matching grant from another anonymous donor. As we all know these times have been devastating to many in our community who have lost their jobs or had their hours severely cut due to the pandemic. Especially hurt are those people in the oil and restaurant industries. We continue to reach out to as many of those people who call our help line as we are able to handle, and we will continue to do so as long as our funding is there. And again, a reminder: we are a totally volunteer organization with absolutely no money going toward salaries. Every penny that you send us is used to help our neighbors in need.
To donate simply log into PermianBasinGives.org, scroll down to our logo and that will take us to our website where you can donate. We are in the process of setting up the means to donate online, however if by chance it is not up and running by that time we can accept your checks here. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this event. God bless.
